FAQs

1. What is a stretched / unstretched destination scroll?

We offer the choice of either stretched or unstretched (rolled) subway destination scrolls, the difference is whether the printed canvas scroll has been mounted onto a timber frame. A stretched tram scroll means that the canvas is tightly stretched over a solid, kiln dried timber frame and is delivered ready to hang straight on the wall.

An unstretched scroll is just the printed scroll without the timber frame, this is delivered rolled in a tube, the reason people usually chose unstretched subway / bus scroll is either to hang the scroll over a pole making the scroll sort of draping banner, or to send overseas.
